Privacy notice

Health results are personal. This page explains exactly what is stored, where, for how long, and how to remove it.

Last updated: 30 September 2026

The short version

  • You choose whether results are saved at all.
  • Saved results are private to your account and no one else can read them.
  • There is no advertising, no tracking and no analytics anywhere in the app.
  • Your results are never sold, shared or used to train anything.
  • You can export everything, and delete everything, at any time.

Your storage choice

The first time you sign in you are asked to pick one of two modes. You can change it later under “Your data”.

  • Save to my private account. Your results are stored in our database and tied to your account, so they are there on your next visit and on other devices, and year-on-year trends work.
  • Use for this session only. Results stay in your browser’s session storage and are never sent to our database. They disappear when you close the tab or browser, are not visible in other tabs or on other devices, and trends across years are not possible. Export a PDF or CSV before you leave if you want to keep a copy.

What we hold

  • Account details. Your email address and sign-in credentials, handled by our authentication provider. If you sign in with Google we receive your email address and basic profile, never your Google password.
  • Preferred name. Optional. Used only to personalise the app heading and your exported PDF.
  • Your results. Test names, values, units, reference ranges and the report year — only in private-account mode.
  • Your settings. Your storage choice and display preferences, kept in your own browser.

We do not ask for your NHS number, date of birth, address or any identity documents, and you should not enter them.

No tracking

The app contains no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no advertising pixels, no session recording and no third-party marketing cookies, so there is no cookie consent banner to click through. The only browser storage used is what the app needs to keep you signed in and remember your settings.

The AI explanation feature

When you ask for an AI explanation of a flagged or out-of-range result, only that single result is sent to the AI provider: the test name, its values, the units and the reference ranges. Your name, email, account identifier and other results are not included. Explanations are not stored as part of your record and are not used to train models.

Who can see your data

Only you. Access rules on our database restrict every stored result to the account that created it. We do not sell, rent or share your health data, and we do not disclose it to insurers, employers or advertisers.

We rely on a small number of processors to run the service: our cloud hosting and database provider, our authentication provider, and the AI provider used only for the feature described above.

How long we keep it

In private-account mode, your results are kept until you delete them or close your account. In session-only mode, nothing is kept once the tab closes. There is no hidden backup of session-only results.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your data — the Export all buttons do this immediately, as PDF or CSV
  • correct anything that is wrong — you can edit or re-import any result yourself
  • delete everything — “Clear my data” under “Your data” removes every report and result from your account
  • restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent, by switching to session-only mode or closing your account

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is controlled per account, and no member of staff browses your results. No system is perfect, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your email account secure.

Children

The app is intended for adults. It is not designed for use by children, and paediatric reference ranges differ from the adult ranges used here.

Changes and contact

If this notice changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top will change and the app will tell you. For any privacy question, or to make a request about your data, email [email protected]. See also our terms of use.
